Holiday STEM Classes for Kids & Teens in Nairobi – November & December 2026
Are you looking for productive holiday programs for kids and teens in Nairobi this November and December?
This school holiday, AfricanStemGirl is giving students aged 7–17 years an opportunity to move beyond simply using technology and start learning how to build, create and solve problems with it.
From 4 November to 18 December 2026, our holiday classes will introduce children and teenagers to practical skills in Artificial Intelligence (AI), coding, cybersecurity, robotics, website and mobile app design, and video editing.
High-school students can also enroll in Mathematics and Chemistry classes.
Classes are available online and physically at K-Mall, Kiambu Road and Komarock Market in Nairobi.
What will we train your child?
1. How to Build AI Solutions
Artificial intelligence shouldn’t only be something children use to answer questions.
Students should also understand what AI can do and how it can be used to solve problems.
In our AI classes for kids and teens, students are introduced to artificial intelligence through practical projects and learn how to turn ideas into AI-powered solutions.
The goal is to help students transition from simply using AI to building with AI.
2. Coding With AI
Coding is changing.
Today’s developers increasingly work alongside AI tools to write, understand, debug and improve software.
Our coding classes for kids and teens in Nairobi introduce students to programming while teaching them how to use AI responsibly as part of the development process.
Students develop computational thinking, problem-solving and project-building skills while discovering what is possible when coding and AI work together.
3. Cybersecurity
Children and teenagers are growing up online.
They use email, websites, applications, social media, online games and other digital platforms—but understanding how to use technology safely is increasingly important.
Our cybersecurity classes for kids and teens introduce students to cybersecurity concepts, digital safety, common cyber threats and how technology systems can be protected.
For teenagers interested in technology careers, cybersecurity can also provide early exposure to one of the important career paths within the technology industry.
4. Robotics
What happens when coding meets engineering?
You get robotics.
Our robotics classes for kids and teens in Nairobi give students hands-on experience building and programming robots.
Students learn how instructions, sensors, programming and physical components work together to make a robot perform different tasks.
Robotics provides an exciting way for students to experience engineering, coding and problem-solving beyond a computer screen.
5. Website and Mobile App Design
Many children use websites and mobile applications every day.
But what does it take to design one?
Our website and mobile app design classes introduce students to the process of turning an idea into a digital product.
Students explore design, user experience and digital product development while working on practical projects.
Instead of only asking:
“Which apps does my child use?”
We want parents to also be able to ask:
“What apps can my child build?”
6. Video Editing With CapCut
Digital creativity is also an important technology skill.
Our CapCut video-editing classes for kids and teens teach students how to transform raw footage and ideas into well-structured videos.
Students learn practical video-editing techniques including working with clips, audio, text, transitions, effects and storytelling.
These skills can help students communicate school projects, document their work, create educational content and tell better stories digitally.
Mathematics and Chemistry Classes for High-School Students
Our holiday program isn’t limited to technology.
High-school students can also enroll in Mathematics and Chemistry classes during the November – December holiday.
These classes are designed to help students strengthen their understanding of important concepts, practise problem-solving and receive additional academic support during the school break.
This allows teenagers to combine practical technology learning with support in core STEM subjects.
Where Are the Holiday Classes Held?
Families can choose between online and physical classes.
Physical classes will be available at:
K-Mall, Kiambu Road, Nairobi and Komarock Market, Nairobi
Students who cannot attend either physical location can join our online holiday STEM classes.
This gives families the flexibility to choose the learning format that works best for them.

Each class runs for two hours, meaning students receive 20 hours of guided learning across their 10-class package.
Parents can contact AfricanStemGirl to discuss the most appropriate program for their child’s age and interests.
What Does My Child Need for the Classes?
Students participating in our technology programs need access to a laptop.
Tablets are not recommended because many of the programming, development and design tools students use work better—or require—a laptop environment.
Students will need:
-
A laptop rather than a tablet
-
An accessible email address without parental restrictions that prevent access to the learning tools required in class
-
An external mouse is recommended, particularly for design activities
What If My Child Doesn’t Have a Laptop?
Not having a laptop doesn’t have to mean missing the opportunity to learn.
If your child doesn’t currently have a suitable laptop or desktop, talk to us before purchasing one.
We can recommend where we source the computers used in our programs, with suitable laptops and desktops available from approximately KES 20,000.
Contact our team and we can advise you on the specifications your child needs before you purchase a device.
